Facebook as a Gallery

A Free Art Event, Open to the Public

Fuquay-Varina Community Center

Looking for a free venue to display your art?  Needing a website to list on those artist market applications?  Or maybe debating whether or not you are ready to share your artwork with others?

Then a Facebook Page might be right for you.  Unlike a personal profile page, a Facebook Page used by businesses, civic groups, and entertainers allows you to share your work in an organized manner without having to share personal information.

Learn how to use a Facebook Page to display and promote your art. You choose the settings: a private page for you and your supporters, or a public page to share with everyone without sharing your personal profile information.  Create events so Facebook will remind your followers when and where your next art show or market will be held. Discover how to use Scheduled Posts and the newly updated Blog feature.

Discover simple tricks for taking photos of your work from our own Photo Phil.  No fancy equipment required.  Phil will demonstrate how to take pictures suitable for Facebook or Etsy with your phone, and touch on simple editting solutions from free software like MS Paint.

Light refreshments will be served at 7:00pm, with announcements at 7:20pm.  The workshop will begin at 7:30pm with a break in the middle. The event is scheduled until 8:45pm, but may end earlier.
